Shenandoah Rotary Club Christmas Party
2008 Table Decorating ContestThe
1st prize winning table was created
by KYFR's Jenny Goodell & KMA's Kristan
Gray. They worked in partnership with Serenity
Studio & Spa owner Patti Gee, who donated the
use of her greenery and store decorations for the
table. Of special note was an antique radio &
microphone used in the early day of KMA & a special
KFNF clock that featured the theme of the
station whose frequency was taken over by KYFR
in 1977. Kristan & Jenny worked together
to raise aware of the two radio stations, as well as
the community's longstanding history of excellence
in communications, beginning with the radio industry.

25, 2008 Fire next door to KYFR causes smoke and water damage to
the office and local studio. Praise and thank God that no one was
injured.
The fire started
around 6:30pm. |
The next morning the
smoke still pours out. |

Regional Manager,
Mike DeStefano, displays the old cell phones collected
for recycling at the KYFR drop off location. The
recycling company
plans to donate the proceeds to the Special Olympics. Nov

Emporia, KS
