Most of the voices you hear on KYFR come from the staff of announcers at our network studios
in Oakland, California. However, there are a few of us at the local station that labor behind the scenes
to ensure that Family Radio programming reaches you everyday.

Donald Horton, Chief Engineer and Midwest Regional Manager.	Don is the one to get the call when a technical problem occurs with the equipment at KYFR. He also assists with the engineering needs at the other Family Radio stations as needed, and occasionally oversees the installation of new stations. As Regional Manager, Don also oversees the operation of KDFR in Des Moines, Iowa, KPOR in Emporia, Kansas, KKAA in Aberdeen, South Dakota, KQKD in Redfield, South Dakota, KBFR in Bismarck, North Dakota, KEGR in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and KQFR in Rapid City, South Dakota. Don has been with Family Radio since 1999.
Jennifer Goodell, Operations Manager of KYFR and Public Affairs Director.	Jenny is your manager at KYFR, and also has the privilege of scheduling and interviewing local community leaders to discuss the issues and needs of our community. Her program "The Local Record" can be heard on Saturday at 12:14am, 6:44am, 12:14pm and 5:14pm. She also records the local Public Affairs program for KQKD, KKAA and KQFR. Jenny has been with KYFR since 2003.
Gwinda Horton, Engineer's Assistant and Clerical Staff.	Gwinda is the wife of our Regional Manager and Engineer, Don Horton and often works with him keeping records and assisting where needed. She also helps out at KYFR's office when necessary. The Hortons have been with Family Radio since 1999.

Ruth Freed, Receptionist and Clerical Staff

Ruth is the first one to greet folks who visit KYFR. She is also the first voice you hear on the phone. She is a great help in the office to keep things running smoothly. Ruth has been with Family Radio since 2007.

We also have other staff members and volunteer workers who answer the phone and help run the office.
